Know that the external environment analysis provides a key input into strategy formulation. Learn the range of techniques for analysis of external factors including SWOT, PESTLE, STEP, SNW Analysis and GRID matrix.
Know that an internal analysis examines an organisation's internal environment in order to assess its resources, competencies and competitive advantages. Learn the tools to assist in analysing the internal environment from SWOT analysis and BCG matrix to the PLC tool.
Learn that an organisation's resources can be categorised as financial, physical, human, technological and reputational. Know the difference between tangible and intangible resources.
Understand that business culture is determined by its values, ethics, traditions, customs, policies and procedures. Get an indept insight into each of the terms and their impact on the business culture.
Get an indepth insight into the different theories of leadership and leadership styles.
Learn about business diversification, business acquisition, mergers, partnerships and alliances as strategies to gain competitiveness and increase profitability.
Understand that business expansion offers opportunities for an organisation to establish new markets, expand its cutomer base, provide additional services or products and diversify its revenue stream.
Understand the use of information systems and applications to support and drive business processes. Learn about digital marketing and social media as effective marketing tools.
During your final class, the subject matter expert will summarise the key topics covered during the programme. The Assessment will be outlined in detail with plenty of opportunity to ask any clarifying questions.
